Minister of Culture Monica Babuc had on June 9, a meeting with H.E. Lee Yang-goo, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Moldova, with residence in Kiev.
Officials discussed the perspectives of developing relations of collaboration between these two states. Minister of Culture Monica Babuc had remarked the common actions between cultural actors that take place on different field levels, expressing their interest in promoting, inclusive, inter-ministerial collaboration. In this context, Monica Babuc spoke about the possibility of signing a bilateral cooperation agreement that would impel the cultural dialogue, launching an invitation to her South-Korean counterpart to visit the Republic of Moldova.
In turn, H.E. Lee Yang-goo showed his openness on the cooperation in the culture field, appreciating the traditions and cultural values of our country. The Dignitary spoke about the common actions undertaken till present, especially those relating to the information technologies. Also, the Ambassador noted the events to follow to be organized with the occasion of celebrating 25 years of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and South Korea.
A special topic of the talks was focused on the possibility of participation of South-Korean partners into important cultural projects for the culture field in the Republic of Moldovan, such as the digitization of the museum and national libraries, as well as the realization of some cinematographic co-productions.
