On January 20, Minister of Culture Monica Babuc had a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Moldova Serghei Ciciuk. The subject of discussions was focused on the perspectives of the bilateral cooperation development in the culture field between those two countries.
In the beginning of the meeting, Minister of Culture, Monica Babuc, pointed up the main common action undertaken till present, noting the mutual organizing Culture Days, which is an opportunity to intensify the bilateral relations, but also the favorable collaboration both between libraries and artists. The official expressed her interest to retrieve the experience both in cinematography and library field, especially in the digitization of cinematography and library fund.
In context, the Ambassador Serghei Ciciuk asked for the support in obtaining the necessary documentation on the Moldovan-Belarusian co-productions. H.E. Serghei Ciciuk talked about actions that follow to be undertaken on celebrating 25 years of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Moldova, referring to the design of a documentary co-production which would highlight the significance of the topic and the construction of a monument in Chisinau in memory of the scientist Francisk Skorina.
At the end of discussions, Monica Babuc invited the Ambassador Sergey Ciciuk to participate at the International Music Festival „Mărțișor”, its inauguration spectacle will include several works of composer Eugen Doga, who celebrates 80ty years, this year.
